A completely new play from the Crude Oil Mechanicals. The fertile Earth, bathed by Water and nurtured by Sun, brings forth its fruits for the people of the Earth. But then Lord Exxon appears, on a maniacal ego-trip to be the biggest oil company in the world. Barclays pretends to care, but wastes no time in payrolling him. As Exxon sinks his drill into the fertile Earth, Water whips the Earth with storms and floods, the Sun’s searing heat burns everything with its droughts. The Earth has nothing more to give to the people. How can they eat and keep warm? What will they do? What will you do? A fable for our time. A 15-minute play with 8 actors, a musician and a giant Earth Puppet.
